HILLSVILLE — A Hillsville resident launched a preemptive strike Monday night against two issues that were rumored to be under consideration by town council — the purchase of local landmark the Bottle House and a change to the town code that would place the town manager and police chief on contracts, rather than serving at the pleasure of council.
Nancy Beasley’s objections came before any formal discussion of either issue.
