Ronald Dale Young, 71, of Galax, Va., passed away March 19, 2024. He was born on Oct. 21, 1952, in Grayson County, Va., to James and Nannie Sprulin Young. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Lee Jones Young.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Clara Caudell of Cana, Va., Barbara and Scottie Brown of Galax, Va., and Christy and Anthony Brooks of Paris, Tenn.; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Michelle Blackburn of Concord, S.C., and Michael Blackburn of Galax Va.; sister, Rose Ward of Galax, Va.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger Young of Galax, Va., Jerry and Rocky Young and Dean and Jean Young, all of Fries, Va.; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
