    Mary Wright Harrison (center) celebrated her 90th birthday March 30 at the Galax Recreation Center. Among her 70 guests were three classmates. They were Cullen Lawrence, Victor Wilson and (not pictured) Bill Blair.

    Adlianne Grace Spurlin turned three years old on June 12.  She celebrated with a butterfly picnic party at her home with her family. She is the daughter of Kevin and Tara Spurlin of Galax.  Her grandparents are Mike and Anita Spurlin of Galax and Owen and Judy Eddy of Castile, N.Y.

    Blevins is a student at Colorado Technical University.

    Higgins was a graduate at Galax High School in 2007.

    She is the daughter of Danny Blevins and Joanna Blevins of Galax.

    Higgins is the son of Terry and Betsy Higgins of Galax.

    An Oct. 26 wedding is planned.

    Alley is employed by Grayson County Dept. of Social Services and Vaughan is employed by Mickey’s Body Shop in Galax.  

    An Oct. 19 wedding is planned at The Establishment in Woodlawn.
