Debating Keepers' role in killing

CHRISTIANSBURG — Natalie Keepers did not intend for Nicole Lovell to die.

Instead, she thought the plan to kill the Blacksburg teen was a fantasy, according to defense attorney John Robertson’s opening remarks Tuesday in Keepers’ trial.

Keepers, 21, of Laurel, Md., is on trial this week in Montgomery County Circuit Court as an accessory to murder before the fact. Keepers pleaded guilty in August to helping conceal Lovell’s body near Galax, after the girl was stabbed to death by David Eisenhauer in January 2016.
