In-person absentee voting available Nov. 4

-A A +A

All election offices in Virginia will be open for in-person absentee voting on Nov. 4 for the Nov. 7 election.

Saturday absentee voting provides Virginia voters who are qualified to vote absentee with an additional opportunity to cast their ballot in person.

In-person absentee voting also is available during local registrars’ normal business hours.

Registered voters may qualify to vote absentee if one of the 20 acceptable reasons for voting absentee applies, such as military service, illness, being away from home, pregnancy, or a long commute that would keep you from getting to the polls.

For details, see vote.virginia.gov, which includes office hours and contact information for local voter registration offices, and a list of who is on their ballot.

The deadline to apply for a ballot by mail was Oct. 31.

The deadline to return your absentee ballot by mail is on Election Day, Nov. 7.
