Meeting planned for non-denominational Christian school

-A A +A

A local group has formed to research and plan the possibility of a non-denominational Christian school in the Twin County area.
This was a vision that began just a couple of years ago, explained Lynn Funk of Lincoln Financial in Galax and a member of the group.
She said that there are a number of parents, grandparents, guardians and homeschoolers who are interested in putting Christianity back into their children’s’ education.
On Feb. 22 at Joy Ranch in Woodlawn, the group will provide a two-hour demonstration to the community, and an hour-long question-and-answer session for those who are interested in learning more about the school.
The demonstration will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Joy Ranch Administration Center, and is expected to conclude around 12:30 p.m.
People are welcome to sit and observe, or if they prefer they can also bring their children and participate in an interactive demonstration of how the school would take place.
Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are preferred for those who wish to participate.
Refreshments will be provided.
