The Golden Wave has come painfully close to ending a district losing streak that has reached 22 games.

HILLSVILLE -- Grundy is capable of beating Carroll County. Let’s get that point out in the open early. Though the Golden Wave (4-3 overall, 0-3 district) will come to Tommy Thompson Field having lost 22 consecutive Southwest District games, Carroll County could easily be facing a 6-1 team fighting for a district title. Cavalier coach Tom Hale feels his team is facing a dangerous foe tonight (Friday), and there is evidence to back it up.
