INDEPENDENCE -- Three games ago, it seemed as if Grayson County couldn’t buy a win. This week, the Blue Devils will play for a district championship. Grayson amassed nearly 350 yards of offense and picked up 19 first downs while holding Narrows to less than 70 yards of total offense, steamrolling to a 35-7 win in a Mountain Empire District game at Bill Strong Field. The Blue Devils (3-6 overall, 3-0 district) will host Fort Chiswell Friday, with the winner taking the MED crown. Grayson County led 14-7 and added a key touchdown just before halftime to stretch its lead to 14 points.
