HILLSVILLE — Town authorities continue to search for a 29-year-old Carroll County man after an alleged stabbing on Jan. 31.
Raymond Rosier, 29, reportedly stabbed another individual in the parking lot at Hickory Hills Shopping Center in Hillsville last Thursday evening, according to police Chief Greg Bolen.
He is wanted on a malicious wounding charge.
The chief did not give out the name of the alleged victim, but Bolen said the man was taken to Twin County Regional Hospital for treatment. The wounds were not life-threatening.
Town police have been coordinating with Carroll County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Virginia State Police troopers in trying to find Rosier. Bolen said he appreciated them and the police dispatchers for all their work on this matter.
“We’ve been searching high and low,” the chief said. “Right after it happened, he [Rosier] bolted. He fled on foot.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rosier are asked to contact the Hillsville Police Department at (276) 728-2251 or the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at (276) 728-4146 or (276) 236-5119.
