Carroll gets $2.9 million for I-77 projects

HILLSVILLE — The pot of $11.5 million coming from the federal government for Interstate 77 water and sewer projects increased by $2.88 million Monday after an announcement by 9th District Rep. Rick Boucher.

The latest amount includes an additional grant of more than $1 million to aid in the regional water project at Exit 19 in Carroll County, as well as $1.8 million in a grant and loan to build a water and wastewater treatment system to service the planned Love's truck stop in Lambsburg at Exit 1.
