Elva Rosemary Nixon, found guilty of the 2004 murder of Donald Brady, is seeking release from her 33-year prison sentence due to medical condition

RICHMOND — A woman serving a 33-year prison sentence for the 2004 murder of Carroll Countian Donald Brady has asked the Virginia Parole Board for medical clemency.
Elva Rosemary Nixon, 56, had been found guilty in Carroll County Circuit Court in the Jan. 5, 2004, robbery and shooting that led to Brady's death in the Keno section of the county.
