The Galax Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Prevention Week parade on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Galax.
The fire station will have an open house that night, as well.

The Galax Police Department has just posted a 12-minute YouTube video of its 2011 National Night Out crime prevention event, which brought thousands of people downtown for a night of free fun. Check it out!
