HILLSVILLE — A small plane crash at Twin County Airport last week is still under investigation and the cause is unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Travel Safety Board were notified after the plane crashed while attempting to land. The plane came down 200-300 feet short of the runway at 5:07 p.m. on July 1, according to Virginia State Trooper J.D. Delp and a report released by the Virginia State Police.
The two men on board the 1979 Piper Cherokee Warrior plane had only minor injuries.
