SMYTH COUNTY — According to media reports, a 14-year-old Tennessee girl who had been missing and in the company of a convicted sex offender has been found by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Hayleigh Wilson and Benjamin Shook were located in Smyth County on Tuesday morning. Earlier this week, police moved their search to Wythe County after sightings were reported there. They had previously abandoned their vehicle in Grayson County.
Police said Wilson was unharmed, but doctors are examining her as a precaution.
