    Heed the public
I think Galax made a wise choice to remodel Galax Elementary School in the current location. I have to say that was very strange how school board and city council went against what appeared to be a majority of citizens of Galax and bought land for a new school. I would hope when there is major opposition against a major project in the future, they will listen to the people of Galax and not waste taxpayers’ money.

    Monkey, or not?

    National debt
I read in the paper — I think they are praising Obama. He has been in office for eight years. We are in debt $20 trillion. I wish I could count to one billion, but I can’t. If he was in there another four years we would probably be in debt $25 trillion. I think the president is in charge of getting your deficit reduced instead of growing it. Maybe this will help this person understand what is really going on.

    Great performance
I just wanted to say I went to the best Christmas play I guess I have ever seen at Turkey Knob Church. If anybody missed that, they missed a good play. I went both nights because I enjoyed the first night so much. These people put hard work in and they put a lot of practice and they really did well — every one of them. I enjoyed it so much. I am waiting until next year to go back and see what they have. Thanks to everybody there for putting it together.

    Roles confused?

    Down to one bulb
About the presidential race we have had — they are claiming Russia is hacked in and let’s say it, it’s bull. I don’t know who is president right now. On another topic, you see these one-eyed demons on the road. One eyed-lights running on the cars. I don’t know if they know it or not, but when the other one goes out, you are out in the dark. Maybe you can put this in there and it will do some good for everybody.

    Paying forward

    Challenge for Sundays
I’d like to issue a challenge to all Christians, no matter race, color, creed, denomination, nationality. There are billboards on some of our main highways that say “make Christmas right. Don’t go to church on Sunday.” I challenge Christians to fill our churches on Christmas morning and let Satan know we are celebrating our Savior’s birth and we will be there to fight for Him and the rights he died to give us. Let Satan know we do worship a living savior.

    Dark and cold
Christmas parades should be for the young children and elderly. Makes you wonder who schedules these parades at night when it is dark and too cold.

    Just as smart

    Big buddies?
Well, the Democrats pulled one over on the Republicans this time. Got another Democrat elected as president. Everybody knows Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are big buddies. That’s really pulled one over. They are in business with some of the same companies. When have you ever heard of having a porno president that talks filthy, jokes filthy, cusses and all these churches voted for him? Fellow told me, “you are crazy. They ain’t churches, they are clubs.” I guess maybe he was right.

    Pleasures in Galax
The Galax Christmas parade was absolutely fabulous. A huge thank you to everyone that participated. The church floats were wonderful. All floats. Everyone did a wonderful job. A huge thank you to one of the oldest churches in Galax, the Galax Friends Church. Thank you for the cookies, the coffee, the hot chocolate. Thank you for serving the City of Galax, and all of those that participated in the parade. What a huge blessing it was. Wow, we have such pleasures here in Galax. Looking forward to our next parade.
