Last week, a caller expressed a concern over an automated answering machine at the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Richard Vaughan addressed the issue: “The auto-attendant is programmed to answer calls after three rings. When the dispatcher is busy with emergency calls and cannot answer before the three rings, the auto attendant answers and directs them to choose which division of the sheriff’s office that they need.”
