    Make Hillsville thrive
I just want to say what a great Christmas parade Hillsville had this year with all the entries and how long it lasted. I want to commend the new police chief, the mayor and the councilmen for a job well done. It has been a long time coming and they did a fantastic job. Keep up the good work to help this town thrive and become more for the community.

School officials invited Isom to the meeting to collect her now-inscribed award and voted on the enhancements to the recognition as she watched.
