Virginia voters can participate in a dual primary on Tuesday, as Virginians choose a nominee from both parties to seek the presidency in November.
Any registered voter can take part in either the Democratic or Republican primary, but must choose one. You can’t vote in both.
Upon reaching the polls March 1, voters will be asked if they wish to vote in the Democratic or Republican primaries. They are then free to vote in the primary of their choice and will be presented with a ballot for that party.
