Members of a parents’ group in Grayson County say they are concerned about budgeting, personnel decisions and school safety. For those reasons, they are calling for Superintendent Kevin Chalfant to step down. Before last week's sometimes contentious meetings, Grayson School Board Chairman Hobert Bailey resigned, effective immediately. In other news surrounding the school system, Grayson has given the school system $1 million above its minimum requirement to fund education, but with certain conditions that must be met; and the principal of GCHS is fighting to keep her job.
