INDEPENDENCE — A Grayson County man was found guilty of shooting Grayson County Deputy Doug Waller earlier this afternoon.
Grayson County Circuit Court found Gary Frank Wheatley, 45, guilty of attempted first degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding and use of a deadly weapon in the shooting that occurred in June 2012, injuring Waller.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
