Grayson County’s girls placed fifth in the Group A state cross country championships.

GREAT MEADOW –– Two Twin County runners earned all-state recognition by placing among the top 10 individuals and Grayson County managed a fifth-place showing in the girls’ team standings at the Group A cross country championships Saturday.
Grayson County’s Emma Wyatt and Galax’s Ashley Jordan finished within three seconds of one another in eighth and 10th places, respectively, to garner all-Group state status, which goes to the top 15 runners.
