The marriage of Heather Leigh Webb and Justin (Jed) Joseph Nolan was solemnized April 25, 2010, on the beach at Broken Head in Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia.
Celebrant Brent Dean Jones officiated.
The bride Heather is the daughter of Bill and Carolyn Webb of Hillsville.
The groom is the son of James and Margaret Nolan of North Stradbroke Island, Queensland, Australia.
The late afternoon wedding featured the bride’s sister, Lara Webb Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio. as matron of honor and soloist.
As Heather’s father escorted her through a small rainforest and onto the beach, her sister sang to the guitar accompaniment of Tom Iggulden, friend of the couple’s.
The groom’s brother, Peter Nolan of Brisbane, Australia, served as best man.
Ring bearers were Rowan and Sean Kensington, sons of the groom’s sister, Melinda, and brother-in-law, Andrew, all of Auckland, New Zealand.
The bride received a degree in broadcast journalism from New York University and later a double master’s degree in international relations and international communications from Macquarie University, Sydney.
She is executive producer of evening news for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Heather is the granddaughter of the late Elmer and Mae Webb of Hillsville, and James G. and the late Guida S. Easter of Woodlawn.
Jed studied economics and commerce at the University of Queensland. He is a certified practicing accountant and will soon complete a master’s degree from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
He works in business strategy for a large Australian corporation.
Jed is the grandson of the late Joseph Vincent and Doris Margaret Nolan of Toowoomba, Queensland, and the late Roy Wentworth and Ada Emily Ralph of Brisbane.
The couple chose an extended honeymoon trip to Paris, Morocco, New York, Virginia and New Orleans. Their home is in Bondi Beach, New South Wales.
