We have a new candidate for the Virginia Senate in the 40th District who is well qualified.
He is John M. Lamie, born in Saltville in 1955. He graduated from King College, magna cum laude, in 1977 and then he attended the University of Tennessee School of Law, graduating in 1980.
His law firm is Browning, Lamie & Gifford, PC. They have offices in Abingdon, Lebanon, Grundy and Wytheville.
The 40th District includes all of Grayson County (as well as Lee, Scott, and Washington Counties and the city of Bristol and portions of Smyth, Wise and Wythe counties).
I will vote for John Lamie in the November election. I feel he understands our southwestern region of the state. I feel he will make intelligent decisions for us here in Grayson.
He is running for state senate because of his deep commitment to our region. I enjoyed being with him on Saturday when he came to Galax for the rally for former Gov. Tim Kaine at Barr’s Fiddle Shop. He also met with people during the fiddlers’ convention.
Please consider John Lamie when you vote on Nov. 8. Call me if you have questions: (276) 744-7814.
