Jimmy and Rita Vernon of Cana announced the engagement of their daughter, Cleo Anne Vernon, to Gerald Ray Goad, son of Elmon and Karen Goad of Galax.
Cleo is a 2010 graduate of Carroll County High School and a 2012 graduate of Wytheville Community College.
