HILLSVILLE — Radio system improvements will provide clear channels of communications for law enforcement in the region, and that will help keep officers safe, say Carroll County officials.
A Homeland Security grant of almost $1.6 million provided funding to boost microwave radio signals so deputies and police could better communicate with each other during daily operations in Carroll, Grayson and Pulaski counties and Galax.
