HILLSVILLE — Two Carroll County residents have been charged with committing a string of residential burglaries in the Wards Gap section, according to Sheriff J.B. Gardner.
Authorities identify the suspects as Terry Conway Guynn, 37, and Krystal Darlene Poole, 40, in a Monday news release.
These arrest occurred after an investigation by Sgt. Cody Edwards and Sgt. Bobby Lyons, when a citizen of the community provided information to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies charged Guynn with eight counts of breaking and entering and eight counts of grand larceny after numerous homes were broken into during the months of October 2013 through February 2014, Gardner said. Several of the homes had been broken into on more than one occasion.
Deputies also charged Poole with seven counts of breaking and entering and seven counts of grand larceny in the break-ins.
“Guynn and Poole have also been implicated in several residential break-ins in Surry County, N.C. as well,” the sheriff said. “Several items of property were recovered and deputies are working with authorities in Surry County to determine where property recovered may belong.”
Gardner expects more charges to be filed in the continuing investigation.
Guynn is being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail under no bond, and Poole is being held on a $5,000 bond.
