Turner, Smith marry

Melissa McAdams Turner and Timothy Stephen Smith were united in marriage Oct. 16, 2010, at Bible Baptist Church in Galax. Danny Tolley officiated.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her daughter, Jenna Turner.

Flower girl was Haleigh Smith, daughter of the groom. Maleke Valentine was ring bearer, and his mother, Amy Richardson, friend of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Burress and Amanda Hammond, friends of the bride, and Ashley Smith, daughter of the groom.
Bill Smith, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Edsel Kilby, uncle of the groom, and Gilbert Suitt, father of the bride. Kodi Adams and Brian Phipps were ushers.
The guest book was kept by Shanna Jones. Pianist was Carolyn Davis. Debbie Turner helped coordinate the event.
The reception was in the fellowship hall of Bible Baptist Church.
Special thanks were expressed to Vera and Ronnie Leagan, Jodi Wilson and Gioia Halsey for their assistance.
Turner is the daughter of Gilbert and Donna Suitt of Mouth of Wilson.
Smith is the son of Bill and Frances Smith of Independence.
The couple reside in Woodlawn, after a honeymoon in Savannah, Ga.
