HILLSVILLE — At the same time as Hillsville Town Council members voted to readvertise for the police chief vacancy with different educational requirements, they also set a special meeting to consider the applications for the town manager position.
“I’ve been getting a lot of telephone calls, people anxious for us to hire somebody,” Mayor Greg Crowder reported to the council and the audience Monday.
The positions of town manager and police chief have been vacant since Larry South and Steve Williams decided to resign in June.
