Tide downs Warriors in double OT

Galax had better hope the VHSL doesn’t get wind of this. With all the extra basketball the Maroon Tide has been playing recently, the suits in Charlottesville may think the Tide is trying to sneak in a free scrimmage.

Playing its second double-overtime game in as many outings, Galax rallied from 13 points down in the fourth quarter and survived a miserable night at both the foul line and the 3-point arc to knock off Oak Hill Academy’s Red team 71-69.
