HILLSVILLE — A 23-year-old man charged in Galax last March for contributing to the delinquency of a minor in a runaway case has been deported, according to Hillsville Police Chief Greg Bolen.
Carlos Enrique Reyna was sought by police for several days in 2013 after a 15-year-old juvenile disappeared from home.

Though local authorities alerted the FBI to the idea of Reyna and the juvenile trying to leave the country, the two were found at a home in Galax after police received a tip.
Several law enforcement agencies converged on the home, located the juvenile and arrested Reyna.
“The Hillsville Police Department was contacted by officials from the office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in regards to Carlos Enrique Reyna,” according to the Jan. 28 news release from the HPD. “Hillsville police learned through ICE officials who took over the case that Reyna was deported as a result of their investigation.”
