Suspect to be charged in robbery

  HILLSVILLE — Authorities believe they have found the armed subject that jumped the pharmacy counter and demanded drugs from the CVS Pharmacy in Hillsville in January.

After months of investigation, the Hillsville Police Department announced Monday that there is a suspect in the Jan. 2 armed robbery of an undisclosed amount of prescription drugs.

Because the authorities intend to charge the person by direct indictment during the December grand jury session in Carroll County Circuit Court, they have declined to release the suspect's identity.
