INDEPENDENCE — The Grayson County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with a break-in and theft at a vacation home.
On Oct. 8, investigators arrested Brandon Keith Martin, 27, at his residence at Elliott Place in Independence. Four stolen firearms was recovered.
Sgt. Doug Carner and Investigator Todd Perkins charged Martin with allegedly breaking in to a vacation home on Elliot Place owned by Susan Foster and Billy Oehler of Mooresville, N.C. In addition to breaking and entering, Martin was also charged with grand larceny, felon in possession of a firearm, transporting a firearm while being subject to a protective order and violation of a protective order.
Martin is being held without bond in the New River Valley Regional Jail in Dublin.
