Stuart man dies in Dugspur wreck

UPDATE — The Virginia State Police have confirmed that alcohol was involved in this crash.

DUGSPUR — A 24-year-old Stuart man died as the result of a single-vehicle crash on Dugspur Road Saturday.

Virginia State Police have identified the man as Seth Alexander Hicks, according to a report from Trooper R.B. Phipps.

The accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m. when the 1996 Ford F250 pickup that Hicks was driving ran off the road to the right.

The pickup then crossed over the road to the left and struck a tree.
