INDEPENDENCE — A pickup truck stolen from Lightning Lube on U.S. 58, just outside Independence, has been recovered in a parking lot in Greensboro, N.C.
Chief Deputy Mike Hash of the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department said the 1987 Mazda, owned by Lightning Lube, was taken some time between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and when the business was opened Aug. 29.
The pickup was reported stolen and a Greensboro police officer spotted it.
Hash said no arrests had been made in the case and the investigation is continuing.
