LAUREL FORK — A Laurel Fork veterinarian already on probation has been suspended indefinitely by the state after a dog died while in her care.
The Virginia Board of Veterinary Medicine took action against Mitzi Elliott of the Animal House clinic after looking into the case of a dog named Daisy.
While Daisy was at Animal House for a routine spay operation on June 28, 2007, the dog died from what the Board of Veterinary Medicine termed "substandard care."
