Some pets returned to owner in animal abuse case

The court reached a decision on Dec. 3 regarding Michelle Cole of Galax, who faced a total of 46 charges related to animal abuse, according to court records.
Charges were filed after Galax Animal Control Officer Veronica Bryant responded to a complaint on Sept. 28, 2012, from the owner of a rental property on Academy Drive.
