HILLSVILLE — Preliminary scores for eighth graders and end-of-course tests for high school students brought good news to the Carroll County School Board in February.
The scores show some of the highest results ever achieved in Carroll schools since Standards of Learning tests began in 1998, according Beverly Parker, director of school improvement.
"In this time of economic struggle... I am very pleased to bring these results to you tonight," she told the school board.
