ROANOKE — A 26-year-old Fancy Gap man has entered a guilty plea to a federal charge of dealing large amounts of methamphetamine.
Richie Wayne Slate was charged last July, along with three codefendants, of conspiring "to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine, a schedule II narcotic controlled substance," according to the federal indictment.
On March 3, Slate appeared in federal court to plead guilty to the single charge he faced.
