Second-half surge leads Grayson past Carroll

INDEPENDENCE –– Tied at halftime, Grayson County outscored Carroll County 44-25 in the second half to take a 69-50 nondistrict boys’ win Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (8-4) were led by Eric Harvey’s 16 points. Steven Eller scored 15, Bubba Bowen added 10 and Preston Bowen chipped in with eight points, 10 rebounds and six steals.

Tyler Reavis hit four 3-pointers and led all scorers with 18 points for the Cavaliers (2-10).

Charlotte Reasor had 17 points and 13 rebounds and the Indians held the Blue Devils to 19 points through three quarters of a nondistrict win Wednesday in Independence.

Hannah Hadaway added 13 points for Rural Retreat (3-6). Devin Osborne led Grayson County (1-11) with 12 points and Alyssa Wingate scored 10.
