A statewide Republican primary on Tuesday will select a nominee for U.S. Senate for the Nov. 6 election.
Polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Four candidates are on the ballot for the U.S. Senate seat: former Sen. George Allen of Mount Vernon; Del. R.G. “Bob” Marshall of Manassas; Tea Party candidate and pastor Earl W. Jackson of Chesapeake; and Jamie L. Radtke of Chesterfield County, a first-time political candidate and Tea Party leader.
The winner of Tuesday’s primary will oppose Democratic nominee and former Gov. Tim Kaine in November.
