HILLSVILLE — Carroll County investigators are working to track down the identify of human remains found on Timber Road Sunday.
Early indications that Carroll Sheriff’s Officer personnel have received from Radford University forensic anthropologists who assisted at the scene point to the subject being a male in the age range of mid-20s to mid-30s, according to Sheriff J.B. Gardner and Investigator Kevin Kemp.
Deputies learned of the remains from a caller who had been out on the road in the Cana area at about 11:40 a.m. Sunday picking up trash.
