HILLSVILLE — Carroll’s parks director has put a toe in the water by saying he believes the development of a public pool would enhance recreation in the county.
A Facebook group dedicated to the idea has already made a splash by attracting 2,100 members, and Carroll County Supervisor Bob Martin seems ready to take the plunge after asking whether voters could weigh in with a referendum this fall.
Carroll officials like Martin acknowledge that fall might be too soon to dive into such a project because there’s a lot of planning to be done.
