Rape charge among Carroll's 126 indictments

HILLSVILLE — The Carroll County grand jury certified a charge of rape against a Galax tanning salon owner Monday.
Jimmy Ray Linville’s indictment came among a total of 126 indictments, 20 of which were sealed by the court until those named could be served with warrants.
Linville, 51, owner of Tropical Tanning Salon in downtown Galax, was charged with rape for allegedly having intercourse with a female child of less than 13 years old, according to the indictment.
