Circuit Court

These sentences were recorded in April in the office of Susan M. Herrington, clerk of the Grayson County Circuit Court, Independence. Sentences may be appealed:
Jonathan Dale Epperson, guilty of two counts of obtaining money by fraud and failure to appear; sentenced to 10 years and 5 days in jail, 10 years suspended; be on good behavior 10 years; submit to substance abuse screening; waive Fourth Amendment right; supervised probation for three years; pay $1,135 costs; pay restitution; submit DNA sample; prohibited from possessing a firearm; given credit for time served.
Debra Parks Phipps, guilty of credit card fraud; sentenced to five years in jail, suspended; be on good behavior two years; submit DNA sample; prohibited from possessing a firearm; supervised probation for two years; pay $420 costs.
John Allen Horner, guilty of distribution of schedule II drug, third offense; sentenced to 35 years in jail and a $50,000 fine; 30 years and $48,000 are suspended; be on good behavior 35 years; submit to substance abuse screening; waive Fourth Amendment right; supervised probation for six years; pay $1,805 costs; pay $350 restitution to the Virginia State Police for reimbursement to the Drug Investigation Fund; operator’s license suspended six months; submit DNA sample; destruction of contraband held in investigation; prohibited from possessing a firearm; given credit for time served.
Rebecca Dawn Radcliff, guilty of possession of schedule II drug; sentenced to five years in jail, suspended; be on good behavior five years; submit to substance abuse screening; waive Fourth Amendment right; supervised probation for two years; pay $1,135 costs; operator’s license suspended six months; submit DNA sample’ destruction of contraband held in investigation; prohibited from possessing a firearm; given credit for time served.
Travis Carlray Goad, guilty of possession of ammunition by a felon; sentenced to three years and seven months in jail, three years suspended; referred to Grayson County Day Reporting Center in lieu of incarceration; be on good behavior three years and seven months; submit to substance abuse screening; waive Fourth Amendment right; supervised probation for three years; pay costs; submit DNA sample; prohibited from possessing a firearm; given credit for time served.
Joshua Lee Crockett, guilty of possession of a schedule II drug; sentenced to five years in jail, suspended; be on good behavior five years; submit to substance abuse screening; waive Fourth Amendment right; supervised probation for two years; pay $660 costs; operator’s license suspended six months; submit DNA sample; destruction of contraband held in investigation; prohibited from possessing a firearm; given credit for time served.
