Police say suspect was caught in the act

INDEPENDENCE — An Independence man has been charged with breaking and entering following an incident that occurred Oct. 21.
Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan said deputies responded to an alleged residential burglary in progress at 269 Beaver Dam Road in Independence about 5:30 p.m. that evening.
Upon arrival, Deputy Eric Testerman and Sgt. Arnold Peters found a lock that had been broken off of the garage door.
