Police foil bank robbery plot

INDEPENDENCE — Police say they put the brakes on a plan to rob a Grayson National Bank branch last week.
Grayson County Sheriff Richard Vaughan said that on Jan. 24, Grayson Investigator Todd Perkins received information from Smyth County Investigator Chip Shuler that individuals from Smyth County might be planning to rob the GNB branch in Troutdale.
