HILLSVILLE—Abingdon scored 38 straight points and gained more than 400 yards on the ground to rally for a 49-28 Southwest District win Friday night over Carroll County at Tommy Thompson Field.
Abingdon (3-3, 1-0) trailed by one point at the break, but used five straight scoring drives to take a commanding win over district foe Carroll County (1-5, 0-1).
The Falcons didn’t attempt a single pass in the second half, and instead racked up 310 rushing yards in the final two quarters.
