Carrie Nelson and Eric Campbell were united in marriage on June 25, 2011 in the King College Memorial Chapel in Bristol, Tenn. The Rev. Doug Stuart, pastor of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Becky Nelson of Independence and the granddaughter of Argil and Alene Roberts also of Independence and Mary Nelson and the late Billy Nelson of Corners Rock.
The groom is the son of Clifton and Sonja Campbell of Unicoi, Tenn.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Her gown featured a sweetheart neckline and beaded lace detail over chiffon. It carried a sweep train. Her finger‑tip veil was adorned with miniature crystals. She carried a hand‑tied bouquet of summer wildflowers accentuated with butterflies.
Nelson chose her sister, Brooke Nelson, as her maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lauren Roberts, cousin of the bride; Ashley Nelson, cousin of the bride; Kaci Foster, friend of the bride; and Megan Campbell, sister of the groom.
Flower girls were Brandi Anders, friend of the bride; and Brenna Halsey, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Justin Whitson, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were Andrew Harris, Jared Bailey, Kelly Jefferson and Brady Higgins, all friends of the groom.
Ring bearer was Brian Anders, friend of the bride.
The Rev. Tommy Wilson, uncle of the bride; presented a prayer and blessing to the couple.
Music was provided by Spencer and Lauren Roberts, cousins of the bride; and Jeff and Beckie Roberts, uncle and aunt of the bride.
Wedding director was Erin Halsey, cousin of the bride.
The wedding cake was made by Lois Patterson, aunt of the bride.
Nelson is a 2007 graduate of Grayson County High School. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from King College, Bristol, Tenn., in 2011.
She is employed at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tenn.
Campbell received a bachelor’s in mathematics with a concentration in education from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tenn., in 2009 and a master’s degree in educational administration from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, Tenn., in 2010.
He is a math teacher at South Central Middle School in Washington County, Tenn.
The couple honeymooned in the Carribean Islands.
They reside in Unicoi, Tenn.
