INDEPENDENCE — Facing the possibility of an additional $1 million-plus in state funding cuts, administrators with Grayson County Public Schools have identified even more cuts the board could consider if needed.
On Monday night, members of the board approved the 2010-11 school budget — based on former governor Tim Kaine’s numbers — which included a reduction of 56 personnel, a roughly 6 percent decrease in all employees’ pay and reduction of several employees' contracts throughout the division.
