Missing man found
UPDATE — Joseph Ray Jones has been found as of Wednesday, and the authorities have called off the alert.
HILLSVILLE —The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has issued a missing person alert for a 23-year-old man. Deputies have asked the public for information on the whereabouts of Joseph Ray Jones, 23.
Jones is six-feet, one-inch tall and 260 pounds. He has two tattoos, “TBH” on his neck and “Evil” and “Good” on his knuckles.
Jones was last seen by family members traveling in a red 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Virginia tag “XHV8768” in Fancy Gap on Sept. 20. His direction of travel is unknown.
